Originally trading as Cheltenham Fencing, we have traded from our site on Old Gloucester Road, Cheltenham since 2004.
We are trusted manufacturers and suppliers of premium fencing and outdoor timber products. At our Cheltenham branch we supply tradespeople, installers, contractors, property owners, developers and the general public throughout Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.
In 2025, we adopted the name of our founding company, Walford Timber Ltd, in order to build upon the company’s rich heritage, simplify our branding and messaging, and to streamline and enhance our digital presence. Read more about our re-brand here…
Our trade counter and timber yard is open for enquiries and collections from 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and we offer a convenient and efficient delivery service.
Walford Timber was established in 1945, and we still manufacture and process our high quality fencing and timber products on the same 12 acre site in the heart of the beautiful Wye Valley. These products are sold through our branches in Ross-on-Wye, Cheltenham, and Chesham.
Following our “Made to Last” ethos, our products are designed to last many years in the harshest outdoor conditions.

Sustainability:
As well as holding both FSC and PEFC certifications demonstrating that we only source our timber from sustainable sources, our manufacturing facility is powered by our own solar panels, providing almost half of our energy requirements. At our Cheltenham branch, our forklift truck fleet is now 100% electric.
